Hey everyone, very sad news re: Donna.   Here is the entry from her Caring Bridge website today, about 2 pm:

Journal entry by Sheena Stuhr

Donna is with the Lord while surrounded by her family. It was beautiful. She waited for one last kids from the love of her life Steve.  We couldn't of asked for a more beautiful transition home.

Keeping all of her family in prayer.

I continue to pray for Steve and the family, Donna's friends, and all of her classmates.  I read her e-mails to me from last year, reading the difficulty she experienced about quitting her job.  Now, looking back with hind-sight, it all seemed like an initial plan to give her the blessing of more time with the family (before the ordeal of cancer began and her departure from this world).  A soldier in boot camp asked me, "Preacher, what's heaven going to be like?"  I prayed and answered, "Heaven is going to be like walking around for 1000 years with your mouth hanging open, saying, "Wow!  Wow! Wow!"   Until you run into your mom who says, "Your mouth is hanging wide open, close your mouth."

Donna is saying, "Wow!"

I didn't know her in high school but it was a privilege to exchange thoughts and see her messages on this site and to see her at a nice class picnic a couple years ago

This was posted on Donna's Caring Bridge site:

We will have live music and dancing and pot luck for food. Bob, I am excited and look forward to possbily seeing you again!  Dave and Debbie, I will convey your condolences.

Someone said, "We were only in high school for a little bit, why is the connection so important to you?"  My answer is that if I was a casting director, I would not cast myself in the role I played in high school.  But also, time was so much longer then, 1/15th to 1/18th of our lives versus today's 1/63rd.  And besides, never to late to learn about others' history and present lives.  So, if you share... I will enjoy hearing! Blessings on you!

hi everyone:  I will not be able to attend Donna's ceremony.  Wish I could but family matters will keep me in Florida.  Please give my condolences to Donna's family.  I didn't know her very well in school, but getting to know her on this forum has been really wonderful.  I truly wish I had been able to connect with her when I was up in St Paul last summer, but it was such a short family reunion (weekend up -and back) that I could not squeeze in the visit.  Boy how I wish now I could have done so.

broken heart-Mary Ann

Donna's Celebration of Life last night was beautiful. Such a sad event, but was able to reconnect with friends I have not seen since high school, so am feeling blessed. I wish I had been able to spend more time with Donna...possibly in another life, right? Hope you all have a safe and enjoyable day! We have more snow coming! 🤗✌🏻🌷

Yvette,  Timing will be everything for my attendance; I would enjoy getting together and do my best to be there!  My schedule is just being built with clients; however, right now Wednesdays and Thursdays are my late night days (closes at 9 pm if I have clients on those days).  In saying that, I understand it is when the majority can make it.  Thanks for doing this!

Dave I have a couple of pic from Donna's celebration of you,Sue and you son. Where can I send to.

02/19/19 01:19 PM #1524

Yvette, thank you for trying to keep things going. You are like Dorothy and the wizard of oz in helping people and finding time to stay together. Do you have anything in that black bag for me? If you have balloon material I could fill it with all my hot air.

02/19/19 07:24 PM #1525

Yvette Fuchs (Nierenhausen)

Bob, I will see what I can find. Wouldn't want you to fly to far off with all that hot air and miss the party. I guess you could take all of us with you...that would be a fun ride!
