SKOL! Thank you Jon for sharing. Dale was a great friend. I remember when he played for Bemidji State and would come to Moorhead State. My friends and I would go to the field house to watch him play. I am sure his family were very proud, as we, the class of 1974, are!

Thanks Jon!  For some reason, I was just reading Bob's comments on Dale's 74 memorial site yesterday and thought how well Bob described Dale.  They picked a good man to speak.  On another note: Michael, I emphatically agree with Vickie, SKOL.  Enjoy the game!

Michael - How did sitting in the stands pan out for you at the bears game?  I looked for you in the stands. :)

Dave — other than the final score, it was a fun time.  Lot’s of Viking fans in the stands at Soldier. I knew it did not look good when the Vikings had only 35 yards of total offense near the end of the first half.

My heart is heavy as I post this news but I wanted to let everyone know that my borther-in-law and one of our classmates Ron Shay passed away suddenly early Saturday morning. There is a visitation and service for him on Wednesday December 12, 4:00 at KOK funeral home in St Paul Park. Included here is the link to the KOK website that gives all the details.

Dave, thanks for posting about Ron. My heart is broken. He was such a great guy, I will miss him. I have to share a story with you that reminds me of how he was that great guy. When we were in high school there was someone that was grabbing women and either raping them or molesting them. Well when Ron found out that I was walking to school at 6  A.M.  he came to my house every morning to pick me up and made sure I would be safe going to school. I will never forget that and I thank him dearly. Ron may you be at peace. I hope that story will give you comfort in knowing he was a gentle soul. Bless you and your families.

It is very sad to lose another classmate, may Ron Rest in Peace.

To Jeffrey Dubois, so glad you are heading up the next class reunion, thanks!!. It was enjoyable being on the committee for the 35th and Tim Shannon and I were glad many came to the 40th at the Car Bar we set up.

Just so you know Jeffrey, we had a collection at the end of the 40th reunion and I still have the $200 that we collected and can be used for the upcoming 45th.  I will kick in $50 more so you can start off with $250. Just let me know how to get that to you.

Dave, Thank you for sharing the news of Ron.  My deepest sympathy to you, Debbie and your family.  So sad to lose another classmate so young.

Donna, that was a very nice story you shared.  I do remember back then, there was a rapist.  As a person who walked at night a lot it was very scary. It must have been very comforting having Ron with you.

Merry Christmas everyone!  Sickness struck my daughter's family this year so we had a low key Christmas.  We are watching the Christmas Carol (Jim Carrey's) now.  Wouldn't be Christmas without watching two or more of Dicken's classic.  Blessings to you all!

Merry Christmas from good old Cottage Grove... yes we saw Jim Carrey's Christmas Carol as well as his Grinch... then brought our granddaughters to see the new Mary Poppins movie... pretty good though it's hard to beat Julie Andrews

Once again I have sad news of a classmate who has died.  Rod Hawkins passed away on December 26, 2018.  Rod and I would hang out in Jr. High and we were in the same catechism class for many years in elementary school.  Rod was Kora's next door neighbor and knew the family well.  Rest in peace Rod.  Use this link for the obituary.  https://www.kokfuneralhome.com/listings

I hope everyone had a great Christmas and happy New Year!  I have been praying for Rod's family.  Time is going so fast now.  Anyone heard about Donna and how she is?  Jeff, how are your plans?  Do you have some helpers for the reunion?  Who is getting together with classmates?  Fun to know who sees each other during the months.  I was standing for the whole morning in Woodbuy Kids' Day, at Counseling Care tables; secretly keeping an eye out for any grandparents I might know.  Blessings on you!

Linda Graf emailed me to let us know of LeRoy's passing.  He was a great guy.  I enjoyed getting to know him in our printing class.

Leroy Andrew Graf, Jr. “Roy” passed into eternal rest on December 20, 2018, after a brief battle with cancer. He graduated from St. Paul Park High School in St. Paul Park, MN and from DeVry University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology. He had a long and varied career in defense contracting. Most recently, he worked for a number of years as a Product Test Specialist at Raytheon. He is survived by his wife, Linda Ruth Graf (nee Vance), his sister Virginia Clara (Harry) Smeader (nee Graf) of Colton, CA; his sister Yvonne Irene Graf of Hastings, MN, his brother Richard Allen Graf of Hays, KS and his brother Robert Francis Graf of Glenwood, IA. Leroy was born to Leroy Andrew Graf, Sr. and Irene Armina Graf (nee Kippes), on 12/15/1955 in Omaha, NE. He was a kind man with a unique sense of humor and will be greatly missed. Services were held at 1 p.m., Thursday, December 27, 2018 at Adair Avalon Chapel, 8090 N. Northern Avenue, Oro Valley, AZ 85704.

He will be missed be all who knew him.

Thanks Steve Hardy, our site manager!  I have been praying for the Graf family since I found out.  Checking out Donna's site and praying more since hearing about the Caring Bridge site, thanks to the other Steve, Steve Bilderback.  Now the trifecta, haven't heard from Steve Kaufold yet.
